A dupla é composta pelos DJs/rappers Redfoo e SkyBlu, que tem o dom de misturar o hip-hop com a música eletrônica criando um estilo bem próprio. O primeiro grande sucesso de LMFAO foi o single "I'm in Miami Bitch", que com ajuda do incrível remix do Dj Chuckie se tornou um hit mundialmente conhecido. Eles também tiveram participação no single "Gettin' Over You" de David Guetta.

   Em "Party Rock Anthem" a dupla aposta no mesmo estilo que os consagrou em 2009 com "Let The Bass Kick in Miami Bitch", com uma batida energética e uma melodia "irritante".
